Writeacher, I need some help on another question. It goes like this.

Which of the following passages from the novel is evidence of Johnny's heroic actions?
A. He had been assigned his own particular duty, this was to keep sharp track of Colonel Smith and the other officers of the Tenth Regiment who were living at the afric queen.
B. True enough, although Johnny had not found out one thing of genuine value by the letter0carrying he had done for british officers, it had been a good contract and he needed money.
C. That night for one horrible moment, he ws glad his hand was crippled, He would never have to fce the round eye of death at the end of a musket
D. From that day he and Johnny spent hours jumping or exercising horses. Johnny almost worshiped him for his skill and loved him.
I narrowed it down between A and B, I think it's A, but I'm not 100 percent sure, can you confirm what it is?
