Write the equation of a line which contains the point (2,4) and (-2,2)
y = -2x + 2
y = 2x + 4
y = ½x + 3
y = -4x + 2
The slopes has to be (2-4)/(-2-2)=-2/-4
But that's not one of the answers so what do i DO?
-2/-4 = 1/2 There is no line with a slope of 1/2??
Try a point in each of them to see if it makes a true equation.
this is what the problem gives me:
Write the equation of a line which contains the point (2,4) and (-2,2)
y = -2x + 2
y = 2x + 4
y = ½x + 3
y = -4x + 2
