Why is parallel circuit brighter compared to series? ( Only one bulb is present in both circuits)

Thanks :)

What is in the other branch of the parallel circuit? What else is in the series circuit?

In a series circuit, the bulb shares the available EMF with other circuit elements. This reduces the brightness and voltage applied to the bulb.
