why do you guys just always give the first link on google? that doesn't really help.

For me, the first five links are usually the most comprehensive to answer a student's question.
I rarely use the first link, though -- and I don't know of other teachers who do that either.

With GOOGLE, be sure you enter the fewest clear words you can use for the search. Then I carefully look at each one, deciding whether to click on it or not. I always "check" the ones I post because sometimes it requires membership or is not pertinent to the post. Sometimes, depending upon what I'm researching, I go through many until I find enough that look good!
