Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

I am confused because I know B,C, and D had helped write it.

Definitely not A, Benjamin Franklin just helped, John Adams just helped, but Thomas Jefferson is one of the main people to write it
Jefferson is right. He used ideas from many people, but he was chosen to write the Declaration of Independence because he was a good writer.

Really a trick (poor question). Jefferson wrote the rough draft, then a committee was formed (which included Adams and Franklin and others) to finish it. That document was approved by the Congress.
Jefferson was not satisfied, and vehemently raised his objections. The Congress then tasked Jefferson to put his objections in the form of documents, and he put it in the form of the first ten amendments (Bill of Righhts) which were dear to his heart, and Congress approved all of them.
So the answers above, I guess B is the best choice, but in reality, it is much more complicated. He did write the first draft.
