Who counts the Electoral College vote?

A) House of Representatives
B) Senate
C) State legislatures
D) Supreme Court

My textbook says "The president of the Senate opens the electoral votes from each State and counts them before a joint session of Congress." I assume the answer is A or B? However, I can't figure out which. My guess would be A?

Yes, Congress is the answer.

Check with your teacher about this question.
Sadly, my teacher is absent until the 10th. Thank you for your help anyway. :) Hopefully someone whose completed this lesson before will be able to help.
The correct answer was Senate.
But the vote is counted by both the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Yes, I completely agree.
I notified my teacher about the questions error so hopefully it'll be fixed soon. However, until then, I thought I'd state was the correct answer was (even though it was technically wrong) for other students who may go to my school. :)
