I would say A because 2 is the square root of 4.
2*2=4
So the answer is A for the square root of 5
This is not one of your choices, but I'd use the square roots of 4 and 6.
Then what do I pick, A?
The square root of 5 is 2.24

The square root of 2 is 1.4
The square root of 4 is 2
The square root of 9 is 3

Probably C is the best answer.
