I think you are right.
No. Both C and D are incorrect.

"Photosynthesis is a process used by plants to convert light energy, normally from the sun, into chemical energy that can be later released to fuel the plant's activities."

Please look up both exothermic reactions and endothermic reactions. Then, please post what you think is the answer out of the two.
