I have no idea what your text says. Honors and recognition may well come with a public achievement, but probably not with a private achievement. One can vow to lose five pounds and succeed, achieving the goal, but I doubt the town or nation will honor somebody with a statue or an award for it. A is, though, the only logical choice, I think.
