Which of the following is an example of a new tool that is important for the economy of this area?

A. copra
B. fishing
C. technology ** This one I guess...
D. logging

My question(s): What is "this area" and do copra (dried coconut meat) logging, and fishing even count as tools? Wouldn't it have to be technology just based on the question wording?

It's the Pacific Islands. I would say technology, but we just went over how technology does not play a huge part in the economy. And none of the others are "new tools".

I agree; it's technology.

I agree that this is a confusing question. I suspect that the potential of new technologies could have an effect on the economy. Unless logging is new to the area (and it's not), drying copra and fishing are as old as human habitation, so are not new at all.
