Which of the following is a possible physical consequence of fasting?
a. loss of lean body tissues
b. lasting weight loss
c. hypertrophy
d. All of the above
I know that both A & B are correct, but I can't find anything to confirm that hypertrophy has anything to do with the effects of fasting. I looked up the word and it just doesn't make sense. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you

Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum. Because you only mention fasting, the answer is a. The problem with b is that you will be dehydrated but that will disappear as soon as you consume fluids.
