Yes, The Romans ( Julius Caesar) had conquered Egypt. Rome conquers Egypt in 30 BCE.

I know she killed herself in 30 BC. So you are saying Rome conquered Egypt earlier in the year then?

Alexandria had been greatly influenced by Rome, but it was only in 30 B.C., shortly before Cleopatra's death, that it came officially under Roman rule.
