i'm completely lost. the only thing i found helpful is this.

You need to have each source of information cited in TWO places:
1. the Reference List page that is placed after the last page of your paper, and
2. in parentheses in the text of your paper, immediately after the quotation or paraphrase.
For example, this would go in the Reference List (with proper indentation for the second and following lines):
Martin Kantor (2003). Distancing: Avoidant Personality disorder. Road West, Westport: Praeger Publishers.
... and this would go immediately after the quotation or whatever:
(Kantor, 2003, p. 17)
The actual page number in each in-text citation (the info within the parentheses) will vary depending on where that particular quotation or paraphrase came from.
