What is the linear speed of a point:
a) on the equator,
b) on the Arctic Circle (latitude 66.5 degrees N),
c) at a latitude of 45.0 degrees N, due to the Earth's rotation?
a relevant equation is v=rw, but I'm not sure how to apply it to the equation

w = 2 pi/24 radians.hr = 2 pi/(24*3600) radians/second
R = earth radius in meters (3.4*10^6 m)
r = distance from spin axis of earth = R * cos (latitude)
