What is the axis of symmetry of f(x)= -1/2^2-x+4?

Use parentheses
f(x)= (-1/2)^2-x+4
f(x) = 1/4 - x + 4
f(x) = 4.25 - x
or
y = -1 x + 4.25
that is a straight line of slope -1.
I suppose you could say it is symmetric about any line of slope +1, but I suspect you have a typo.
