What is the average translational kinetic energy of nitrogen molecules at 1500 K, in the following units?
(a) J
(b) eV
I already provided the formula for average KE in Joules, in an answer to a separate question of yours.
average KE = (3/2) k T
1 eV = 1.602*10^-19 Joules
Note that M (molecular mass) does not matter.
Great! Thanks a lot for the help.
