Phalanx is basically a Greek formation, although the general idea survived for centuries. I associate the legion and the century (100 soldiers sort of like a phalanx) with Rome. Please choose one of the others. Ms Sue is unfortunately no longer with us.
In case you missed it, the word "history" comes from the Latin word historia — having nothing to do with "his" or "her" which come to us from northern European languages! (This is why I corrected IT's spelling in the space marked School Subject.)
