3. The Corcovado National Park, on the Osa peninsula, contains humid forests that receive nearly (almost) 6 meters of rain per year.

so basically this is coming from a mexican and all i can say is the translators they aren't wrong bUT it just depends on how you use the word and in what kinda sentence ur using it also i hope this helps and if not then tell me and i'll try to lol
and the translators say exactly what the word means and is, but in the spanish speaking world it could mean something different.
