What are the products for KMnO4 + FeSO4 + NaOH? What is the net ionic equation? I am pretty sure one of the products in MnO2, because I got a muddy brown parcipitate, but I've been getting a variety of answers.

3 answers

Fe^2+ goes to Fe^3+
MnO4^- goes to MnO2 in basic solution (which this is with NaOH)
Very useful
excellent answer thanks
