MC You really have to read this. It is an important piece of literature and part of our history regarding society's beliefs about disabled people. After you have read it, go to sparknotes and look at the Character Analysis there.
Make a list of the important factors in Annie's and Helen's characters.
Then, go back through the play and mark or copy the specific passages that help you come to these conclusions.
For instance, don't Helen's temper tantrums in the beginning show that she's a fighter? Doesn't Annie's patience and determination show her strength and ability to handle Helen?
