I have no idea what a "formate" biography might be. Biography is a genre of literature. What does your text say? What is YOUR choice?
Sorry the word is "format ". I chose fiction and nonfiction
Biography and fiction is a contradiction of terms. A biography is supposed to be factual.
This is what my text says. "Standards for nonfiction and biography should be applied as rigorously as standards for fiction." I'm totally confused
I don't know what "standards" your text is referring to. Writing standards? In any case, biography is non-fiction. It is the story of someone's life, told factually, based on research. Your choices for this question are confusing, I agree. Sometimes writers will use the outline of a real person's life and "fill in the gaps" with what might have been, or one might suppose happened. That is fictionalization. But I would call it historical fiction, not biography. The famous writer E.L Doctorow did that very well, but his work is considered fiction, not history or biography. I really don't know which of these choices will be considered "correct" by your school program or teacher. D seems most likely, but I do not know.
