Alden: rate = 2/(3/4) mph
= 2(4/3)
= 8/3 mph or appr 2.67 mph

rate = 1.75/.5 mph
= 3.5 mph
Alden: rate = 2/(3/4) mph

Kira= 1 and 3/4 divided by 30= 7/120 that means that she walked 7 miles in 2 hours since 60 +60=120. And 60 minutes is one hour. You can convert 7/120 to 7/2 = 7 miles in 2 hours. That is an improper fraction so you would have to turn it into a mixed number. 7/2= 3 and 1/2.
