Two collinear points are given in the table, give a third point that is also on this line x 0 4. It is written vertically on a graph, the other side states y 0 -3.
I do not understand how to find the third point for each problem. I missed this lesson, can you tell me how to solve this to get the answer?

I will assume you have something like this
x | y
------
0 | 0
4 | -3
If so, then you have 2 points (0,0) and (4,-3)
slope = (-3-0)/(4-0) = -3/4
so the equation in the form y = mx + b is
y = -3/4 x + 0 or
simply
y = (-3/4)x
pick any x, say x = 8, then
y = (-3/4)(8) = -6
so another point would be (8, -6)
pick any other x, it would be a good idea to pick a multiple of 4, so
you don't end up with fractions.
