As you know, this is very controversial. You can research the pros and cons. Do we have a moral and ethical obligation to help these refugees? Or do we have more of an obligation to our own citizens to keep out people who are different, need financial assistance, may contribute to unemployment numbers and even could be physical threats.
You have to make your own decision.
To what extent do wealthy countries, such as the US and the members of the European Union have a responsibility to do more for the refugee crisis?
I have to write a short essay on this topic and I do not exactly know how to approach it.
