Help needed
If possible, it is easier to work with scales if one of the units is 1 , so ...
1/2in. : 8 mi
= 1 inch : 16 miles

now all you have to do is multiply each of your given inches to get miles
e.g. the last one:
6.
if 1 inch --> 16 miles
7 1/3 inch ---> (7 1/3)(16) miles = (22/3)(16)
= 352/3 miles
or
= 117 1/3 miles

do the others in the same way

You could also just use a ratio.
Here is one from your 2nd problem

scale : 1/4 inch : 6 ft

13.

66 ft/6 ft = x inches/(1/4) inches
66/6 = x/(1/4)
cross-multiply
6x = (1/4)(66)
6x = 33/2
6x = 33/12 = 11/4

the scale model should be 11/4 inches or 2 3/4 inches

choose a method and do the others
in each case, the ratio of map:distance is the same, so for, say,
#3. (3 1/2)/x = (1/2)/8
1/2 x = 3 1/2 * 8
x = 3 1/2 * 16 = 56 mi

or, you can find the unit scale, so in the 2nd set,
1/4in. : 6 ft = 1/24 in : 1 ft
#14. 204 ft = 204/24 = 8 1/2 in
