The price of a radio changes from $40.00 to $44.00.

A. 10% decrease
B. 10% increase
C. 36.4% decrease
D. 40% increase

44 - 40 = 4
Whole: 40
4 = p*40
4 = 40p
4/40 = 40p/40

I can't figure out what to do next. I know that the answer is B, but I don't know how to *find* the answer.

If you divide 40 by 4 you get 10. That is your percent.
(44/40)*100% = 110%
110-100 = 10% increase.
