Asked by Debbie

The patient obtained records in order to save the nurse a phone call to her previous doctor and she made sure to ask right away for this to be done to save time.

Is this sentence a run-on, usable, or correct as is?

Two things:

It should be divided into two sentences. (It's not a run-on, just too long for one sentence.)

The references "her" and "she" need to be clarified. Do those pronouns refer to the patient or to the nurse?
