The French Revolution was marked by the leadership and influence of several key figures, including Maximilien Robespierre, Georges Danton, and Napoleon Bonaparte. Robespierre played a significant role in the Reign of Terror, and was influential in establishing the Committee of Public Safety, which wielded enormous power during the revolution (History.com Editors, n.d.). Danton, a passionate orator and skilled political strategist, was a key figure in the early days of revolutionary fervor and played a leading role in the establishment of the revolutionary government (Trueman, 2015).
