It think it is d -- the study guice says c - in the book it says that washington choose not to run for pres again b/c he did not want to look like a monarch - and the Jay treaty stopped the war?????

As I tried to explain yesterday, this is a flawed question. There are two right answers.

The question asks for ONE result of Jay's Treaty. The most noted result was that the U.S. avoided war with Britain. There's some evidence that the treaty may have played a part in Washington's decision not to run for a third term as President. However, I still believe that d. is the best answer.

Please check with your teacher before your test tomorrow to see what s/he believes is the best answer.
