Actually, I'm realising that a lot of Italian books for learning English contain mistakes!
1) Even good men can behave badly if there isn't anything to eat.
2) Fill in the blanks with the suitable word (or a stuitable word). The initial is already given (OR initials are given).

#1. I prefer the "if" clause at the beginning of the sentence with a comma before the main clause. #2 If the words are given, then use "the" suitable word. The better choice would depend on whether more than one inital is given.
