Pressure is force (in Newton) per unit area (in m^2):
P = F/A
The force here is the weight of the ball, so we must find first the weight of the ball:
W = mg
where
m = mass (kg)
g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s^2
Substitute the values:
W = 5 * 9.8
W = 49 N
Therefore the pressure is,
P = 49 N / (1 cm^2 * 1 m / 100^2 cm^2)
P = 490000 N/m^2 or 490000 Pa
hope this helps~ `u`
Suppose that you balance a 5 kg ball on the tip of your finger that has an area of 1 cm2. What is the pressure
on your finger?

Explain the shii in the parenthesis on the bottom part bruh. no idea what the heck u did there.
So if I were to balance a 2.6-kg ball on the tip of my finger that's got an area of 0.90 cm^2, what would the pressure on my finger be?
