Just because the directions say to use the Subjunctive, it does NOT mean to use it everywhere! Your first statement is FACT and therefor there is no Subjunctive!

The 2nd sentence says what you DO believe? Creo que hay tres cuestiones, etc.

Los tres cuestiones principales SON:

Let's STOP right here and review the reasons to use the Subjunctive:

1. after a main verb of wishing, hoping, imposition of will, what "may" be.
2. after a main verb of emotion.
3. after a verb clause expressing doubt, disbelief, denial
4. after certain conjunctions of time: sin que / con tal de que / antes de que / a menos que / para que
5. After other conjunctions whenn uncertainty, doubt, anticipataion or indefiniteness is implied.
6. adjective clauses if the antecedent is indefinite or negative.

What level Spanish are you in? Usually in Level III you study the Subjunctive. Have you gotten to "si clauses" with the Past Subjunctive? Depending upon your textbook, review the uses of the Subjunctive FIRST and then try your essay again.

En los Estados Unidos hay muchas cuestiones políticas. Creo que hay tres cuestiones principales. Los tres cuestiones principales son: el control de armas, el aborto, y la economía. Creo que deba haber más control de armas. También crea que los violadores de control de armas deba ser severamente sancionado. Porque el aborto, yo sea pro vida. Sin embargo, crea que en ciertas situaciones, el aborto es necesario. Esta economía es un tema importante en la elección presidencial entre el Presidente Obama y Mitt Romney. Yo crea que si tanto los partidos Republicano y Demócrata trabajaron juntos en una solución, la economía crecerá. Podamos resolver todos los problemas al trabajar juntos. En addtion a los asuntos internos de la Naciones Unidas se enfrentan a los Estados Unidos, creo que los Estados Unidos debería ayudar a traer la paz del mundo.

Creo que debe haber más control de armas. También creo (yo creo, I believe) que los violadores de control de armas (It is better to say: ... que aquellos que violan la normas de control de armas deben ser severamente sancionados. Porque el aborto, ya sea...(I prefer: "tanto como aquellos..."

There are more mistakes but you can see with these corrections what kind of mistakes you made.
