Solve log(1/8) x=-1

Can some explain how to do this along with the answer.

I assume you meant

log (x/8)=-1

Take antilog of each side...

x/8=1/10
solve for x.

no i put it exactly how the paper has it log^1/8) and then it has x=-1 I do not understand how to do it at all.
