4.List each solution from Step 3 as a solution to the original equation.

Sqrt 2/2 and - sqrt 2/2

Substitute y=x²
2y²+y-1=0
Solve to get
y=-1 or y=1/2
if x²=-1, x=±i
if x²=1/2, x=±(1/2)=±(√2)/2
if x²=1/2, x=±√(1/2)=±(√2)/2
