Solve 2 - 5/x^2 - x - 6 = x + 3/x + 2 . Identify all

non-permissible values.

1 answer

the way you typed it ....
-5/x^2 - 3/x - 2x = 6
multiply each term by x^2
-5 - 3x - 2x^3 = 6x^2
2x^3 + 6x^2 + 3x + 5 = 0
nasty equation,
I have a feeling that you need some brackets in your equation.

e.g. was the denomiator on the left side (x^2 -x-6)
and on the right side x + 3/(x+2)
I suspect it that way, since x+2 is a factor of x^2-x-6

let me know.
