On second thought, the prodigal son story is probably not good to use here since, strictly speaking, it's not a real life example. But if you know of anyone who has been estranged from his or her family for a long time and finally they were reconciled, that person and his/her experience could be a good example of repentance.
Make sure you are crystal clear on what "repentance" means.
