Shalonda notices that when she stands next to the flagpole, she casts a shadow that is 8 feet long and that the flagpole casts a shadow that is 28 feet long. Little Shalonda is 4 feet tall. How tall, to the nearest foot, is the flagpole?

Cross multiply and solve for x.

4/8 = x/28
im still not sure on how to do this
draw a diagram.

If the pole's shadow is twice as long as the Shalonda's, then it is twice as tall as she is.

In fact, its shadow is 28/8 times as long as the hers, so its height is 28/8 as big as hers.

So, that makes the pole's height 28/8 * 4 = 14 feet.

Ms Sue's equation reflects the fact that the ratio of the height to the shadow is the same for the girl and the pole.
I really don't know its hard may you help me
