Scientists wondered how volcanoes could be located so far from tectonic plate boundaries until one proposed the idea of (Hotspots, Mid-ocean ridges, transform faults, plates), where the magma is much hotter than the surrounding magma. These are (undetectable, fixed, rotating, submerged) and do not move with tectonic plates. They are responsible for the creation of (volcanic, convecting, floating, oceanic) island chains.

Please check my answers.
1 - Mid-ocean ridges
2 - Submerged
3 - oceanic

They do not move with the plates, that is why you get a string of islands.

It is rising magma , volcanoes, that become islands in the chain to leeward of the hot spot.
So would the correct answers be;
1 - Hotspots
2 - Fixed
3 - Volcanic
