This Liberal Arts Math course has been quite the ride, with its fair share of ups and downs! On the bright side, I really liked how the course showed me how math connects to some day to day scenarios. It was pretty cool to see how we use things like proportions to solve problems, like estimating populations or analyzing data. Those assignments really made math feel more useful and less like random numbers on a page. With that being said, some parts were definitely tricky. I struggled a bit with the more abstract topics, especially the complex algebra. I definitely had to put in some extra work to understand those concepts, but it felt super rewarding when everything started clicking.

The biggest thing I’ll take away from this class is how important problem-solving and thinking critically really are. Math isn’t just about numbers, it’s about breaking down problems step by step and figuring out the best way to solve them. And that’s something I can use way beyond just math class, in life too!

It’s great when a subject moves beyond theory and feels relevant to our everyday lives. I can understand how the more abstract concepts could pose a challenge; tackling complex algebra often requires additional effort, but it’s fantastic that you felt that sense of accomplishment when you grasped those ideas.

Your takeaway regarding problem-solving and critical thinking is particularly insightful. These skills extend far beyond mathematics and are essential in many aspects of life. It’s clear that this course has equipped you not only with mathematical knowledge but also with a mindset that will serve you well in various future endeavors. Keep embracing these learnings!
