There are definitely times when I feel sleep-deprived, especially when I first started nursing school. The combination of stress and worry about exams, learning new material, and balancing work while running a business created a lot of mental strain. I also felt the need to give enough attention to my partner and care for my two dogs, which left me awake late at night with my mind racing. I'd lie in bed thinking about everything I had to do, and before I knew it, it would be 2 a.m. with only a few hours left before needing to wake up for the day.

I wouldn’t necessarily say I have a sleep disorder; it's more of a time management issue. Managing my responsibilities has made it challenging to prioritize sleep, but I’ve learned that these sleepless nights definitely affect my ability to focus and perform well in school and at work. Sleep deprivation tends to slow me down, making concentrating, absorbing information, and staying on top of things harder.

To handle this, I’ve been working on organizing my time better, trying to prioritize tasks, and setting aside enough time for rest. While I still have those nights where I lie awake thinking, I’m learning how important it is to give my mind a break and let sleep recharge me.HI oscar It sounds like you're doing a great job with your sleep routine! You've built a strong foundation for your rest with a consistent schedule and calming pre-bed habits. I relate to how a peaceful environment before bed can help, though I haven't quite nailed down the organization like you. I find that taking mental and physical breaks throughout the day—like long walks with my dog—helps me recharge in my way. While I aim for a calm bedtime routine, I still love catching up with friends or watching reruns to relax before nodding off. Thanks for sharing your tips!
