This is another of those questions where none of the multiple choice answers are really correct. 19th century realist painters often turned to landscapes, often bucolic landscapes, perhaps longing for a simpler time. Urban scenes often depicted railroad trains, smoke, etc. Some, like Georges Serault (sp?) depicted middle class people. Others depicted (as artists always did) wealthy people who could afford to have their portraits painted.
