A: The kind of art that the Hiberno-Saxons are best known for is their illuminated manuscripts as many of the earliest forms of this heavily and richly decorated books have survived through the ages. Examples of these illuminated manuscripts include the Book of Kells which has heavily decorated carpet pages, the Book of Durrow which has intricate penmanship on its carpet pages and others like these were likewise decorated in a similar manner. A basic progression of this art-type would be it started from the Irish pagan roots which then evolved into a symbolism within the early Irish church which was then brought over to England by Irish monks and was combined with the Saxon style of art.
