PROCEDURE: The patient was prepped and draped in the usual sterile fashion. Examination of the vocal cords in a sitting position revealed a polypoid growth in front of the left false vocal cord with erythematous base and yellow- colored tip. Vocal cord appeared normal, with normal motion and without lesions.

'in a sitting position' needs to be close to what/whom it describes. I don't think you mean that the vocal cords were in a sitting position, right?
