Are the following sentences semantically / gramatically correct?

1)Alert the supervisor to any defective material found.

2)Some equipment have been taken away for inspection. After inspection, ensure that all the equipment are accounted for.

The first sentence is fine.

In the second sentences, equipment is singular. Also, we try not to end sentences with prepositions.

Some equipment has been taken away for inspection. After inspection, please ensure that you account for all equipment.

Is the above sentence acceptable?

It's acceptable in some contexts, but it is not right. The word "for" is a preposition and should have an object. Try to rewrite the sentence so that "equipment" is the object of "for."
