plot the two points. Draw the right angle that joins them. The distance is just the diagonal distance between them.
Use the Pythagorean Theorem. Also known as the distance formula.
X = 0-(-6) = 6.
Y = 4-1 = 3.
d^2 = X^2 + Y^2 = 6^2 + 3^2 =
so like what's the answer...
