⅞ kg of salt was in the kitchen.
Mrs. Sabe used 2/15 of the salt when preparing dinner.
How much salt did she use?

Do I subtract 7/8 and 2/15 but if so my answer would be 89/120
i dont get it, am i supposed to divide or multiply becasue on the sheet it says division and multiplication w

It said "Mrs. Sabe used 2/15 of the salt "
the key word is "of" , which in most cases implies multiplication.
e.g. if somebody said, take 1/2 of 6, you would multiply 1/2 by 6 to get 3, you wouldn't add 1/2 to 6, now would you?

so she used (2/15) of (7/8), which is (2/15)(7/8)
= 14/120
= 7/60 of a kg or appr 117g
