Here I would lean heavily to context clues on the specific meaning, however, wind is slowed, filtered, diverted, and slowed as it moves through trees, but it keeps going in the same direction. Could it be that the undoable (that word is an oxymoron I don't like, difficult to achieve is better) can be done by time when obstacles slow down the action and lets forces move steadily onwward.

However, one should depend on the context clues around this sentence more than what I read into it out of context.
