Compound subjects have two or more subjects.
Examples:
Larry and Jerry are twin brothers.
TVs, computers, and cell phones were invented in the twentieth century.
Compound predicates have two or more verbs.
Examples (the simple predicates are underlined):
The children came home and immediately did their homework.
A durian smells terrible but tastes delicious.
