Is 'spouse' pronounced [spaus] or [spauz]? In a dictionary, there are two ways of pronouncing it. In the USA, how is it pronounced? What is the common pronunciation? Is it pronounced differently in the UK?

In the USA, it's pronounced "spaus". I don't know how it would be pronounced in the UK, Australia or other countries.
We do use the "z" sound sometimes as in a "spousal relationship", but that is a variation and maybe just lazy. The "z" sound is easier than the "s" sound.
