Plants and animals/insects work hand in hand in the process of both pollination and fertilization. In three to five sentences give a brief description on how a plant is fertilized. Include the words (anther, pollen, pistol) in your explanation.

Fertilization in plants involves the transfer of pollen from the anther to the stigma, which is a part of the pistil. The anther produces pollen, which contains the plant's male reproductive cells. In order for fertilization to occur, a pollinator, such as a bee or a butterfly, carries pollen from the anther and deposits it onto the stigma. The pollen then travels down the style, which is a tube-like structure within the pistil, to reach the ovules present in the ovary. Once the pollen reaches the ovule, fertilization takes place, resulting in the formation of seeds and eventually, the development of new plants.
